Jodi Vleck, CFP® is the CEO and Founder of Beta Wealth Group. With more than 20 years of experience in wealth planning and portfolio construction, Jodi has worked with individuals, family offices and institutions around the country, constructing and executing portfolio strategies that meet the needs of each investor’s goals. Jodi’s responsibilities include portfolio construction, investment strategy, business development and client relationships, among others.
Jodi developed the firm’s premier portfolio overlay strategy — the Beta Enhanced Income Strategy — which has since grown to more than $40 million in assets. She has been included in San Diego Magazine’s Five Star Award Winners list for the years of 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. David Purdy is a Senior Portfolio Manager at Beta Wealth Group with over 20 years of experience in quantitative asset management and hedge fund strategies. He oversees all investment models, portfolio rebalances, trading operations, and option strategies while assisting clients in optimizing their wealth strategies. With his distinctive combination of quantitative expertise, institutional investment experience, and innovative approach to integrating artificial intelligence into investment processes, David provides our clients with sophisticated investment strategies designed to achieve their long-term financial objectives in an ever-changing market environment. His relationships with key decision-makers at some of the world's largest institutional investors and private capital firms provide valuable insights that inform his strategic thinking and investment approach.
Prior to his current role, David worked at Acadian Asset Management, where he rose to become a Partner and Senior Portfolio Manager, and at Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo & Co. (GMO), where he developed proprietary performance and attribution systems as a Senior Investment Analyst. He has authored numerous white papers on investment themes and has been quoted in leading financial publications including The Wall Street Journal and Reuters. He holds an MBA and a Master of Science in Finance from Northeastern University, and an Economics degree from Wheaton College.
